Breaking ground in Nepal for international retreat centre at TGL monastery

December 4th was an exciting day at Tsoknyi Gechak Ling.  Rinpoche came for a ground breaking ceremony for the international retreat centre.  The lines for the building are already marked so construction should be starting soon. In the photos you can see Rinpoche with a pick literally breaking the ground.  He invited senior Shedra Nun Trinley Palmo, from Nubri, featured in the School on Chobhar Hill video and senior Nun Pema Yankyi (white hair), from Nangchen, part of the original Parping Nuns group featured in Prayer Wheels in Motion.

Meanwhile work continues on the main temple complex, and Bella Wilshire has, at Rinpoche’s request, begun keeping a photographic record.
