Bruton School for Girls in Somerset was the venue for Tsoknyi Rinpoche’s 2017 Easter retreat and will also host Rinpoche’s UK teachings next year.
Rinpoche was in great form at Bruton and gave sparkling teachings on the Karma Chagmé text ‘The Union of Mahamudra and Dzogchen’, as relevant today as when it was written nearly 500 years ago! He was ably supported once more by indomitable translator Gerardo Abboud.
This year’s teachings were attended by 150 dharma students from the UK and abroad.
“We’d like to send our appreciation to all who contributed to this retreat by helping with the running and setup, as well as those of you who came,” said Pundarika UK director Carole Bishop. “Apologies to those who were unable to come because the date was so late being announced. The good news is we already have the date for next year, so put it in your diary now!”
Next year’s retreat will be 23 – 29 March, just before the Easter weekend, at Bruton again. It will be a Dzogchen retreat – another opportunity to receive the pointing out instructions again.
It will be an open retreat, so feel free to suggest it to friends who may be interested in joining the Dzogchen path.
